Yun contributes the increase to job growth, low-interest rates, bargain home prices and an improving economy.

20 New listings hit the market this past week, totaling 50 new or relisted properties for the month of April thus far.  Also an increase of 15% more listings lowering the price compared to last week, the reductions average about 8%.

The slow down is most likely due to Passover and Easter. However, listings accepting deposits and pending sales remain the same as last week. Sold properties median price reported $1,375,500 and 92% of asking price.

Jillian states in Sunday’s NY Times:   “It also seems that transactions tend to involve new construction, like the six-bedroom house across from Grays Creek that sold for $5.25 million in January after being listed for six months.   Six months is considered a short time in the current market.  Sales in Westport have tapered off. Every month is changing up and down, up and down.”
