Sherwood Island State Park, Westport – Connecticut’s 1st State Park is one of its best with 234 acres of beach to enjoy! Fun activities include swimming, picnicking & visiting the Sherwood Island Nature Center & Connecticut’s Living Memorial sites that are located in the park.
Hammonasset Beach State Park, Madison – Connecticut’s largest shoreline park, an awesome destination for biking, walking, picnicking, fishing & boating. Enjoy more than 2 miles of shoreline with the boardwalk, dunes & several campsites in case you want to extend your day trip for the weekend!
Ocean Beach, New London – A 50-acre park includes with a gorgeous beach & water parks. Family fun for sure!
Rocky Neck State Park, East Lyme – Soft beautiful white sand, stone-free beaches with clear clean water make for the ideal swimming location. Take a hike or walk on the diverse trails to scenic salt marshes and other points of interests. Fishing, crabbing & bird watching are other favorite activities. Overnight campsites are close by.
Silver Sands State Park, Milford – A treasure seeker’s dream come true, this beach is known for the Legend of Captain Kid and his buried treasure. Treasure hunting, swimming, fishing and sunning are what it’s all about at this beach!
Calf Pasture Beach, Norwalk – A super beach for sunbathing & splashing in the surf. Swimming, boating, fishing & clam digging here are just some of the fun you can experience. Volleyball, bocce, basketball, softball & skate park facilities are here for the taking. Shaded picnic tables are available for great family outings.
