And, if one new downtown Westport restaurant isn’t enough, Mexicue has also recently opened at 38 Main Street. Mexican food lovers rejoice! Enjoy a remix of the classics, Seasonal Specials, and Happy hour every day from opening to 6 pm.

December Market Stats
As we approach the end of the year, we want to give you a look at our stats for both the past year and the past going back to 2004. We all know that the market fluctuates and that we’ve been on an upswing in prices since COVID. This past year is no exception, prices for single-family homes in Westport increased by 29.9% over last year. The big question is: Will this increase continue? My experience and my reasoning tell me that the increase in prices will continue but given the decrease in the number of sales and the increase in the supply, the increases will not be as dramatic. We still have buyers relocating here. They have opportunities to work remotely. They want a less citified environment because they value our schools, our cultural amenities, and our lifestyles. However, as COVID becomes the new normal and as demand decreases, the likelihood of prices decreasing is very real. If you are considering selling, you may consider the advantages of selling now versus waiting for the spring market. I can’t quite believe that we haven’t had any more than a dusting of snow yet and it is December! I mention this only because five feet of snow or even ten+ feet like what recently fell on Buffalo are no deterrents to proceeding ahead with new construction. Fortunately, I am a planner. December Final Thoughts
