Most towns program summer as a string of standalone events. Wilton does something different this year. Once you learn the cadence of Wednesdays on the Town Green and the last Friday of the month at Lachat, the rest of July and August falls into place around them. There is exactly one break in the pattern, and it happens tomorrow.
The Cadence, Not the Calendar
If you are new to Wilton or have simply never mapped the summer, the season resolves into two anchor points that repeat. The Wilton Farmers' Market sets up on the Town Green at 101 Old Ridgefield Road every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with Ambler Farm selling produce from its 1.5 cultivated acres alongside other vendors. The Lachat Farmers Market, over the Weston line at 106 Godfrey Road West, runs the last Friday of each month from June through October and is Lachat's largest monthly event. Ambler's own farm stand at 257 Hurlbutt Street opens Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the same June-through-October window.
| Recurring anchor | When | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Wilton Farmers' Market (Ambler + vendors) | Wednesdays, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. | Town Green, 101 Old Ridgefield Rd |
| Ambler Farm Stand | Saturdays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. | 257 Hurlbutt St |
| Lachat Farmers Market | Last Friday of the month | Lachat Town Farm, 106 Godfrey Rd W |
| Music in the Meadow | Second Saturday, 6–9 p.m. | Lachat Town Farm |
The value of thinking this way is practical. You do not have to check a calendar to know where produce, live music, or a Friday evening plan is on any given week. The town has already decided for you.
The One Break in the Pattern
Saturday, July 4, 2026 is the exception, and it is worth treating as such because it will not happen again in the same form.
